That’s a whole lot of fabric!
And the sad part is that we are no where near done.
But, I think that once the living room and dining room are finished, then the parties can start…
Oh… did I mention, that I have 2 bedrooms and an entire basement still to decorate????
I finally moved in this past weekend. As I start to go though the boxes, I am slowly realizing 2 things.
Boxes upon boxes filled with meaningless junk. Things i’ve held onto for years for no apparent reason other than (oh, i might need this someday).
There was even a box packed full of empty boxes. This must stop!
So, over the next several weeks, I am vowing to go through at a minimum of 1(one) box every night and decide what should stay and what should go.
I’m halfway tempted to post my escapades here for posterity sake

Paint has been purchased for the living and dining room walls. Its a pretty silvery grey (will post pics soon). Its great to have family with real world skills….
I just got word from my Realator. Title has officially transferred! I am officially the ecstatic owner of my vintage brick bungalow.
Ill post more tonight after I get the keys.
Over the weekend, after finding out that the dining room set that I have been trying to negotiate for, was given to the owner’s cousin, the shininess of the house was starting to wear off.
This morning, my phone rings and the caller id shows that its my Realtor. I took a deep breath, fully expecting to give her an ear full over the loss of the furniture. However, she starts off by apologizing, once again, for the mishap and tells me that she has good news.
Expecting her to tell me that she got the furniture back for me, she tells me instead, the only thing that could possibly make up for it….
We can close this FRIDAY! A full 10 days before we were scheduled to. She asked some strings to be pulled to make up for things going sour….
So, we are scheduled for Wednesday at 10 am to sign all the paperwork and hopefully get the keys.
I guess patience really does pay off….
Whoever said “Patience is a virtue” never had to wait for something that they really really wanted.

I initially drove past her while I was just looking at different houses that I wanted my Realtor to take me to look at. I wasn’t super impressed at my drive by.
